Broadcasting from an IP camera on a website?

I would like to organize a broadcast of video from an ip-camera on the site for a large number of users (say, 200 people).
Available:

  • D-Link DCS-930 camera
  • channel 8 Mbps

Now the broadcast is underway, but it is unlikely to withstand the slightest influx of users. I simply ripped out the java applet html code and pasted it into the site. It works, but it seems that the camera is not designed for this.
Ideally, I would like solutions like broadcasts from webcams on video hosting sites that have become popular. But it seems to only understand webcams, not ip.
Maybe there is some solution?

The best option would be to broadcast from the camera to the server, one later, and distribute it from the server, with a normal channel.

On such a camera, we usually just uploaded a picture to the site every five seconds.

I would try to do this: the daemon on the server reads the data from the camera and writes it to the buffer in a circle (memcache), the web server on the same server takes the data from the cache and gives it to users.

Peer-to-peer streaming?

I used VLC as a server for such a task. With a greater load, you can use Ustream.TV on the site there is a lot of documentation with examples.

Not the best camera for broadcasting. No rtsp and h.264
Better buy a new one with the above specifications
and rebroadcast using rtsp.me
