Brandbook in interface design?

How exactly is it necessary to follow the company's brand book when designing a mobile application or website?
Is it acceptable to add other colors to branded ones? How can you influence to make small changes to the brand book?

All your questions can only be answered by people who are familiar with your company.
If you are the main or the only designer, change the brand book under your own responsibility, approve (if necessary) and go ahead. If you're not in charge, talk to the boss.

A brand book is a brand book to be followed in the design of the company's products. If it’s not very good and you can prove why, talk to your boss that you want to change it and explain why. If the boss is against the changes, then do it in the style of the company.

If the brand book is compiled correctly, you just have to follow it, since most situations are clearly described in it. And if it’s the other way around ... then how lucky, there are beeches made “so that like everyone else”, then at least tie it in a knot, but there are vice versa - an ugly selection “but so that one to one”
All from my experience, in particular, I worked with the Audi brand book - very sensible and concise, and the design was also easy to approve.
In general, deviations from the brand book need to be argued and, preferably, not “I see it that way”, but something more convincing - for example, adding an accent color on the site is quite appropriate even if there is only one black in the beech - yes, but everything needs to be coordinated
