Books on the history of mathematics

There is such a three-volume edition authored by A.P. Yushkevich - History of Mathematics.
A wonderful work published back in Soviet times (M.: Nauka. vol. 1 - 1970, 352 pp.; vol. 2 - 1970, 301 pp.; vol. 3 - 1972, 496 pp.).

Now scans of these books are available on the Web, but unfortunately in such poor quality that even in e-readers the text looks blurry, not to mention printed on paper. So I'm asking the community for help.

Are there modern editions of these books?
And what other books on the same subject can you recommend? In Russian or English.

The text from those scans fits into 600x800 (e-book), which allows you to crop all the pages and read at a scale of 1:1 without blur. But you'll have to work hard.
