Books on Drupal, Drupal 7

I want to do in-depth study of Drupal. I have some experience with Wordpess.
I installed Drupal 7.0 on the local web server, looked, configured what I could, read Habr. Many questions have come up.

I chose a book based on Drupal reviews . Creating and managing a site

But with the release of Drupal 7.0 there were many changes, so the choice fell on books dedicated to the 7th version:
Drupal 7
Drupal 7. User Guide

Who else can tell you about this, give some advice on learning Drupal ?

Gut some topic, and preferably 3-5 and see how they are arranged. Try to remake one for yourself. Then make your own from scratch. At the same time, relying on the documentation for the API, you will begin to rapidly enter how it all turns and rejoice.

drupal.org
I like it there, the documentation is good, + forums + you can contact the developers by email.

This will be enough, then try on "live" projects. Gain practice and experience.

Thanks for the good advice! I will try and figure it out.
I tried to follow the instructions from Habr Getting started with Drupal: a complete practical guide (part 1) ... (part 2) , everything was more or less clear until the moment with the Views module, because the article discusses version 6, and I have version 7 (I decided, since I started, then immediately with a more “fresh version”), this is where I started having problems with a lack of knowledge. Version 6 and 7, as I understand it, are fundamentally different.

Recently, I myself am migrating from drupal6 to drupal7. "Paper" books are good, but sometimes you want to see in a faster mode, "how it's done." For myself, I found a solution to the problem on youtube . Maybe it will help you too.
