Blender for beginners, should I start learning on my laptop?

I just started to study and the question arose whether my beech would pull this idea or not: 16GB of RAM, intel i5-8300H, GTX 1050 (2gb). I'm just a lamer in this, so don't swear too much

Will pull. The main thing if you have a laptop - do not overheat and make sure that the dust does not suck much during work. It will be bad to cool, but for laptops it's very bad (All components are close and something starts to heat up that should not heat up at all)
