Black screen after entering password in linux mint?

Today I put Windu on virtual box, it was installed, and I went for a walk watching the process through TeamViewer from my phone.
After some time, the connection with the computer was lost, suggested that the laptop blocked the screen from inactivity.
When I got home I saw that it was true. I enter the password - I see a black screen, a second, and the password request appears again, and so on ad infinitum.

Reboot is not treated, changing the password through the console does not help

The window manager does not start. The system is probably damaged - go to the console and reinstall the window manager packages. Or by the logs, figure out what happened to him and fix it.
sudo apt reinstall mate mate-desktop
