BigBlueButton - sound is distorted

For the purpose of distance learning for children with disabilities (http://do-rcnttu-kbr.ru/) we are trying to raise the BBB server. The audio client is Asterisk. When testing on the internal network, the voice is deformed - it turns into a grave call with computer howls. A test call from the BBB server gives decent sound quality. What could it be? What connection speed is acceptable for organizing audio communication?

There is hardly a problem with speed. For Skype, for example, a speed of 64-128 kb / s is enough - I doubt that your speed on the internal network is lower than 64 kb / s.
