basecamp alternatives

Recommend a free project management system. Interested in systems with a similar functionary as a basecamp and wider. What do you use and why?

UPD : I reviewed all the proposed options and none of them fit properly. In the case of free plans, they are too limited, the redmin needs to install a bunch of plugins and it is not known if there are any necessary ones.
I came across www.ClockingIT.com/ absolutely free and open source, they offer both SaaS and the ability to download and install on your server. Of the amenities, a time tracker for tasks and mistones. Of the minuses, the interface to which you can get used to.

We moved to www.teamworkpm.net because we started doing a project to compete with one of the 37signals products. I liked that you can import all the data from the basecamp there and in appearance it is not very scary.

I use www.goplanapp.com
I like it, but it's quite a controversial system, especially since the latest change.
Pros (for me, along with other systems):
- SaaS aka hosted solution (no need to deploy anything at home)
- Two types of requests - Task and Ticket. Task - something like a TODO-list, but with a very useful feature - each task can have subtasks. I can’t find it anywhere in SaaS tracking systems (Jira is not suitable for exorbitant cost), but for the organization of the product development process, I consider it a must have.
— Availability of a free plan
Cons:
- Free plan used to allow you to have 2 projects and 2+1 users (2 "team member" and 1 "collaborator"). This suited me perfectly. But then they shrunk the free plan down to 1 project and 2 users. On the one hand, yes, I don’t pay anything, so I can’t be offended, but on the other hand, somehow I can no longer trust them. I’ll start a storm of activity there, and then bam, and something else will change. What if it's with a paid plan? Unlikely, but still
- The cheapest plan costs $ 10 per month - on the one hand, not much, but it is above my psychological barrier (there are other expenses). plus from this plan I need less than half of its capacity, and from this my toad gains even more strength.
In general, I am also looking for a SaaS system for 3/4 users with the possibility of sub-tasks at the lowest price.

dug up teambox.com. there is a good free plan, a nice interface, an interesting idea and a facebook-like discussion wall, but again there are no sub-tasks.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
