Backup from WD My Book Live to usb drive via Zyxel Keenetic Giga?

In view of the imminent move at home to a laptop as the main PC, there was a need for network storage. At the same time, I would still like not only a large volume, but also some reliability.

The choice at the moment fell on WD My Book Live (1TB or 2TB) in conjunction with the Zyxel Keenetic Giga router (because now the D-link DIR-320 is without a gigabit mesh).

Interested in whether it is possible to backup some WD folder to an external drive attached to Zyxel Keenetic? It is supposed to backup a folder with a volume of about 500 gigs (there is already an external USB 2.5 inch 500GB screw).

At the same time, is it possible to download the built-in Zyxel Transmission to an external network drive (WD My Book Live in my case)?

Maybe it makes sense to look at another router?

Ideally, you should probably take My Book Live DUO or one of the 2 disk Synology drives, but they are too expensive.

Yes, the built-in bittorrent client can be downloaded to an external HDD, but the speed will be limited to 1 MB / s, there may be some tricks, there is no way to bypass it with standard tools.

Transmission is perfectly placed
on it . I have one at home, it shakes perfectly.
As for the backup, I don't know. On WD, a full-fledged debian can most likely be configured using a small bash script that will be run by cron.
I have a folder on my laptop that syncs with WD using Alway Sync .

I have been using the LiveStreet system for three years now. Firstly, a very convenient constructor, and besides, it seems to me that even a five-year-old child can understand the control system.

WordPress + BuddyPress. The number of ready-made solutions is much greater than for LiveStreet, their quality, reliability and security are orders of magnitude higher. If I understood correctly, you need a closed system, and not a social network open to the whole world, moreover, in the corporate segment. Safety must come first here.
And by the way, pay attention - all posts about LiveStreet are made by bots with 1 answer on Toaster :)
This is how LiveStreet "advertises" itself...

For some time I have been using only livestreet, it has never disappointed me, unlike the same WP, I think that soon everyone will switch to livestreetms. Just my opinion...

I use LiveStreet CMS, for me the main thing was ease of use, because. I'm a "teapot" still in this. Before that, I tried WordPress + BuddyPress - for a long time everything somehow worked out ...

I have been using LiveStreet CMS since childhood, it is very easy and simple. Always satisfied with the result. I was still arguing with my friends at work: which program is better - LiveStreet CMS or WordPress + BuddyPress, well, I won.
