Backup applications without root?

There is an ASUS tf201 tablet. I want to reset the settings, but I don't want to lose bookmarks in books (Moon reader, Cool reader). I tried downloading applications for backup, but they require root, and when you get it (according to the descriptions of applications for root), all data may disappear. What to do?
