Backup 2 databases dependent on each other

Is MSSQL 2008 and 2 bases which depend on each other. Is it possible to back them up somehow so that these 2 databases are consistent upon completion of the backup?

My guess is to create a maintenance plan and choose a full backup of these 2 bases? Does it mean that upon completion of such a backup, they will have the same state?

It's cruel enough... but that's how you built your databases
1. "disable" all users in DB1 and DB2 (except your own) - but there is a risk... some operations may break
2. Kill all sessions on DB1 and DB2 (except your own) - also defined risk… depends on backup time and user activity.
3. Run backups
4. Upon completion - allow users to work ... (enable)
