Automatic firmware testing systems?

Hello!
We develop one piece of hardware, our contractors write firmware for it, which is insanely buggy.
In this regard, we were puzzled by writing tests for this firmware.
In short, a piece of iron can be in several states, depending on which certain scripts work.
If you write everything manually, you will get a document of 100 pages
. Is it possible to automate all this somehow? Recommend tools please.
Thank you!

I can not understand what exactly you want to automate (if I understood the title correctly)? Writing 100 pages of text? Or the firmware itself?
If all the same firmware, then it greatly depends on your piece of iron. For these needs, you need a test bench based on your hardware.
