Autocad designer, who should not become a designer and what basic knowledge is needed?
Hello!
A friend offered a job as an autocad designer, said to study the program for a couple of months, take a couple of courses and get basic knowledge of this program, and I will get real work and training right there with a senior designer.
Of course, I didn’t study it headlong, and for the sake of interest, I looked at what basic knowledge is needed to study it, I saw a lot of requirements, especially in xhr, and if I move to another place, will they strangle me with these requirements) I ask autocads for help, tell me what knowledge is needed, and is it possible to get it sitting in front of a laptop

It should be noted that there are 2 almost opposite directions in AutoCAD: 2D drawings (as grandfather taught) and full-fledged 3D modeling. Modeling in AutoCAD is direct (not parametric), very simple, as fast as possible. But not everyone needs it. You should first decide what the employer requires of this.
As for training (any program), the best option is to sit down for a couple of days with a specialist who has already eaten a dog, to see what techniques are used in real life, and not in textbooks. No textbook can replace such an experience.
