Authorization through social networks and registration on the site

Do you still need to do standard registration on the site (“enter your username and password”), or can you already get by with a small set of oauth authorizations (FB, Google, Twitter ...)?

And does anyone use openid? Personally, it seems to me that it is rather stupid to fill out some kind of form and come up with passwords if there is an authorization button via FB next to it. In addition, oauth providers provide the necessary data about the user in a convenient form, and he does not even need to fill out the profile on the site with his hands.

Where can I get some statistics on this issue?

If there is no strong trust in the site, then I register and
log in in the standard way. Such is the manifestation of paranoia.

I remember this article here: habrahabr.ru/post/136736/
My vision of the situation is this: let's usually log in and log in through the social. networks.
Both are not expensive to develop.

Depends on the direction of the site.
Basically, authorization only through social networks is enough. When I see that you can log in through a social network, I just go in, because it’s tiring to come up with logins / passwords, and you also need to remember them, but here one button and that’s it.
OpenID is not that popular among our population.
I have statistics on visits to the site. In a month, 5 people registered through the usual form, and the entrance through the social. network implemented >500

Also interesting, it all depends on the intended audience of the site. We do both options at home, since many people are far from social networks and authorization through them is assumed on the site.

Although on our site the ratio of only fb and vk to registrations directly on the site is close to 9/1,
it is better to let the user register with handles. Unless, of course, you feel sorry for a certain % of the audience that does not want to log in via oauth.
I think that up to half of those (at best) who register manually when possible can still log in via oauth, so at best you will lose about 5% of registrations. At worst, of course, close to 10.

It all depends on the audience of the site. On my site, despite the fact that you can log in with OpenID, most continue to register in the usual way.

I don't like giving websites access to my account data, so I register manually. If there is no normal registration on the site, I curse the developers for such a decision and leave the site.

for authorization there are loginza and ulogin services.
To register, you can create a left account on a social network that you do not use (for example, li.ru, mail or another) and enter sites through them.

Has anyone leaked generated content from different accounts? For example, you make logins on the site and through social networks and through registration and in the settings you give the opportunity to link accounts. And if the user has already logged in from under several social networks separately and generated content, then it needs to be merged when linking. Has anyone done this on their own?
