Combine both ways, you can't go wrong.
A knowledgeable person will see a "sign in with Oauth" button.
A little less knowledgeable will see the buttons "log in through your account vkontakte / fb / twitter"
For the rest, you can use a hack - when registering, check their mailbox. If the mailbox is with oauth-provo, then do not register, but show the page "you do not need to register, because ..."
