ASUS socket burnt after installing SSD?

Good afternoon, I bought an M2 SSD for my laptop, put it on, turned on the laptop, everything is fine after 5 minutes, I hear burning, I lift the lid to melt nested with the SSD, what could it be?
What is the reason for this? and what are the possible consequences

From a banal marriage - unlikely, but possible.
Before the banal sticking of an unsuitable device into the slot - most likely.
For example, a disk is stuck in a slot for wifi and the like.
The exact model of the laptop and disk in the studio.

Well, it looks like a short circuit. The SATA port could have burned out or what it was stuck into.
