Asus RT56U and DLNA how best to set up?
There is an RT56U router with the latest off-firmware, a wd 2tb usb 3.0 hard drive, a 2012 Samsung TV connected to the router via a twisted pair cable.
Task: to launch media content from a usb disk through a TV bypassing a computer.
The essence of the problem: The essence of the terrible dlna in the firmware itself. When you connect a disk to the router and install media cenre on it, the router starts parsing information about the media and folders lying on it. very often hanging on any file. If you add a new file to the disk, then it appears in the list, and if you delete the old one, it is not deleted. I tried the firmware from padavan but it didn’t even work to detect media content or install the dlna application. Maybe someone did something similar?
