ASUS RT-AC56U and D-Link DWR-730: How to make them friends?

Good day to all.
D-Link DWR-730 is a 3G router that distributes WiFI. It is autonomous and runs on battery, for which I, in fact, love it very much. He also knows how to distribute the Internet via USB. Just plug in and you have an Internet. If he knows how to distribute the Internet via USB for a computer in this way, then it will also work for a router?
The point is. When I plug this modem into the router through the cord (the model is indicated in the name), the router detects it as a 3G dongle, which is good and right. However, he offers to set up receiving the Internet from him, as through a regular whistle, that is, by specifying a login, password, and all that. All this is already written inside the modem, and therefore there is no need for this. It is necessary that the router simply routes the received Internet to WiFi.
The firmware on the router is still stock. Maybe the problem will disappear with a flashing to some alternative (I was going to do it anyway).
Actually, how to make them friends? Any ideas?

The problem will disappear when you change the firmware.

If very high speed is important, then if I were you, I would look towards Redis . Key-value storage that supports multiple data types (including strings, lists, and hashes). Plus - support for master-mater replication will also be useful. Works on both windows and linux. Implementation for C++ is present.
