As they teach at MSTU. Bauman, or is it worth getting a second higher education there?

Everyone, good day!
To begin with, a little background ... Graduated from a railway university. I work as a logistician. Some time ago, I realized that this is not mine, which draws me to computers, technology, programming. So I decided to start studying, of course, on my own.
At the moment, there is knowledge in HTML / CSS, a little JS. But, the main bias is JAVA, development for Android. Now I'm working on my own project so that I have something to put in my portfolio, and the leveling of skills is going faster. However, I understand that in order to code big, you need more fundamental knowledge. Therefore, I looked towards the second highest. Most attracted "Bauman". First of all, the training there is full-time and in the evening. I plan to study under the program IU-7 "Software Engineering"- the subjects studied there seemed to be the most needed...
Questions, in fact, are the following:
1. How is teaching in "Baumanka"?
2. Do they provide knowledge and skills taking into account modern technologies and approaches?
3. Is it worth going to study at Baumanka?
4. Is it worth it to go to the second higher education or is it better to take courses?
PS I am quite informed about the courses and I know that there are no such courses in Moscow that are directly "must have!", But perhaps I missed some...

I think you should not get a second higher education at all, you no longer have time for this. The main thing is practice. Better pump yourself, write a few applications and put them in the market. Next, get a job as a junior somewhere, with a portfolio it will already be real. That's where you get the basic knowledge, without water and various husks.

And what prevents them from getting without a tower? Now you can watch the courses of the best universities in the world, read the best books right from home. If you need a piece of paper (for immigration, for example), then yes, but in other cases I don’t see the point.

In my opinion, you can handle this approach to self-education without a tower. In your case, the tower is needed only for the crust, and to communicate with associates. But the lack of a crust can be compensated by open source projects, and you can find freelancers anyway.

Everything is bad there with teaching. :) I'm from there. If you are a humanist, you can only study for the first year and a half, and then leave. 80% of teachers are figs. Either dinosaurs that pierced punched cards in adulthood, or young and lazy enough that they just don't give a fuck about you. Example: a woman led our networks and answered any question, so that they themselves understood. And at first she pretended to be God's dandelion simply. Constantly dumped from our lab to drink tea and laugh at the pulpit. I can count on my fingers those teachers whom we were interested in as students. One thing pleases: whoever comes for the crust will get it, rest assured. You will not find relevant knowledge there. Yes, and you won’t find it at Moscow State University ... I’m going to sit close to some online courses that I personally like and I know for sure that they will help (I can send a link in a personal or telegram). It's time to stop believing that someone will pour knowledge into you, even for huge money. Discipline yourself or force your wife, mom, dad to follow your study schedule .... something like that. I myself have to)
