ARM Board + RDP work?

I want to buy an ARM Board and plug a keyboard, mouse and monitor into it, so that through this solution I can connect to a working computer via RDP and work (on Windows).
Will it be possible to connect? Will there be any problems? As I understand it, the RDP protocol is closed and will I have to use some other clients?
If I want to surf the Internet at home, will I have enough ARM power (I want 1GB of memory)?
