Are you often threatened with a bad review on Upwork?

I would like to hear how often inadequate customers come across.

There was never a threat. But it was the other way around - the project was handed over, everyone likes it, but the review with reduced points for no reason. As a rule, from those who freeze for weeks and cannot close the milestone, having already received everything a long time ago.

How to make money normally on UpWork/FL.ru/in the office/in business, etc.? You just have to not be an asshole . Who is this asshole? For example, I said that I would write a package for integrating A with B within 5 days, which means I have to show at least 2/3 of what was originally planned by the deadline. If I said, and then disappeared for 15 days, then I'm an asshole. From the perspective of the customer, it will look exactly like this.
You write that you managed to find an inadequate customer, however, let me ask you, did you initially discuss all the details with him? Do you have a list of N-items that you should discuss with each of your clients? In my personal experience, all accusations that the client/executor is inadequate/fool/swindler, etc. start only in the case when you didn’t understand each other from the very beginning, maybe you didn’t discuss something, maybe you omitted something intentionally, maybe something slipped out of your head ...
If a situation arises when I had a misunderstanding with a client that came to light too late, then:

  1. We are talking about new milestones, 90% agree to pay extra
  2. Refunds happen in 8% for a number of reasons, for example, overhead, the deadline is broken and the client can no longer wait
  3. I hide a review with a low rating, the Top rated status allows me to do this. It happens infrequently, but 3 times, i.e. at 2%, I took advantage of this feature

Never.
I have serious customers - they just put a bad review without threatening in advance.
Although, I think on orders "for food" this should be very often.

Nobody ever threatened. Never. And there were no bad reviews either. Never.
