Are users ready for self-generated content?
Hello! Need the help of specialists in the field of creating communities and social networks
. I have a niche information community Vkontakte, quite active and visited, sports topics. Posts in it are written by admins, and users only like and leave comments, only occasionally sending their own content at the request of admins.
I'm going to transfer the community from VKontakte to a website, to the LiveStreet CMS engine (analogous to Habr) with all the consequences: user content, voting for topics / comments, etc. The idea was born for a reason, a successful example was found from a similar niche with constantly growing traffic. Although there is confidence in success, there is still some doubt, because, unlike that successful example, the core of my audience is quite young people (16-22 years old). Will they cope with writing topics? Will they be interested in making their own contribution to the development of the resource?
In short, the question is, how do I find out if the team blog model applies specifically to my audience? Is there any way to know for sure? Help with advice or opinion, I will be very grateful to you

Personally, I never managed to get users to write regularly enough, no matter how hard I tried. There were various incentive programs and prizes, etc. In general, you need to somehow create a core that will generate content. And it's difficult.
In general, writing articles is difficult. Some try 1 time and everyone immediately understands that there is no longer enough for the second article. And if the community also merges the article, even in the case - insults.
I left this question open for myself. I will gladly listen to advice.
Also on my project, I tried to get users to start filling content on their own, even have bonuses in the form of cash payments. The people weren't inspired by it. You have to enter the main content yourself.
Users have little interest in the development of the project.
