Are USB ports alive?
Hello. Lots of bukuff, please feel free to read. After all, the more information the better.
I recently asked about the best way to reinstall Windows 10 without losing a license. Advised to use the reset function. At the end of the reinstallation, the system issued that some files could not be deleted. After that, I noticed that some drivers or some system files were not deleted. How did you notice? Before the reinstallation, there was an old problem with the USB modem, I didn’t want to connect to the network through my own program, I displayed something like “The modem is already in use”, etc. I contacted w3bsit3-dns.com, their advice did not help. Connected directly to the cellular network. And now, after reinstalling this problem did not disappear. Plus, there were still problems with USB ports, because of which I decided to reinstall the system, more on that later. So, through a friend, I downloaded an image of the same system that I had, installed it, and the problem with the modem was solved. Connects without problems. Let's return to the problem with USB ports. I have 3 USB ports on my laptop, two of them are USB 3.0. A friend brought a mouse to see if it works or not. Connected to USB 2.0, there was a backlight, but the mouse itself did not work. And then suddenly, the modem that was connected to USB 3.0 restarted, i.e. like it was taken out and put back in. And so several times, judging by the sounds.
As a result: USB 2.0 does not work for me now, i.e. on flash drives, hard drives do not respond, and if the mouse is connected, then there is a backlight, but it does not work. Both USB 3.0 do not respond to the mouse (the mice are working), i.e. hard (3.0), flash drive (3.0) (does not see a flash drive 2.0), they see the modem as if they are working properly, and if the mouse is connected, then there is also a backlight, but the mouse does not work, even there is no connection sound. At first glance, we can say that the laptop does not see devices with USB 2.0, but if I'm not mistaken, the modem has a simple USB. And one more interesting moment, when I connect devices with 3.0, in all the system first displays that the device is not recognized, and then a second later the device appears.
I searched the Internet for solutions, I tried everything I found, removing devices, reinstalling drivers, de-energizing the laptop. Even reinstalling the system did not help. Help me please.
