Are these power supply and motherboard compatible?

Let's say there is a motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
and a power supply: Corsair VS450
The board's specifications say:

24-pin main power
connector 4-pin processor power connector

In the power supply:
Main power connector 20+4 pin
CPU power connectors 1x 4+4 pin

What does 20+4 mean? why not just write 24, or is it for some other connector?
For writing a processor, it is also not entirely clear: what does 4 + 4 mean?
Because of this, I began to doubt whether this PSU would fit this board or not.

Will do. 20+4 is a block of 20pin + a block with 4pin,
In the PSU this is done for versatility, some motherboards need 20pin power, some 24.
PS: the same with the CPU.
