An audio track (mp3/mp4) with repeated ads in it.
What you need:
Is there open source software that, like Shazam, looks for audio fragments in an audio track?

This is called fingerprinting, for audio there are open-source libraries, for video everyone makes their own (starting with youtube ContentId and ending with domestic in-house developments).
