Are there IP video surveillance solutions in python?
Good day to all!
Set out to rework the video surveillance system.
There are:
- 35 ip cameras
- 4 PC-based servers (old organization: WinXp and Intellect system)
- 2 weak channels (ADSL) and 2 reliable channels (optics 100 Mb)
All within the same territory but scattered.
Desire:
1 - central archive
3 - operators for their cameras from 3 to 15
without paid licenses
Which way to dig? Are there ready systems? Don't offer ZoneMinder.

Most likely you won't find it. Of the free software, only a zoneminder, but it is slow
How to add the motion + motion http api variant
in python?
As I understand it, cameras in mjpeg
If yes, then motion is ideal
Either rivet an add-on over VLC + VLM (I'm doing it now)
There was an article on Habré about capturing a stream from a camera in Python (rtsp), but the code leaves much to be desired.
For RTSP it's better to use ffmpeg or vlc or live555.
In any case, mjpeg can be pulled by means of the language, then run through ffmpeg to add labels and wrappers to any container.
It all depends on what exactly you want.
