Are there guides for making cases for your DIY?

I came up with the idea of creating a device for my needs and ordering from advertisers to cut the case from plywood. But then it became curious to read any guides / recommendations on this topic. Somehow, either I don’t know how to google, or something else, but somehow I can’t find anything worth reading.
If anyone can tell me I will be grateful, the language of the text is not important.

I made walls and a basket for discs from corrugated cardboard for my mini-server. A surprisingly strong material is obtained by gluing two sheets perpendicularly in strips.

If you do it according to the finished sample, then it’s better like this: habrahabr.ru/post/241909
A sample can be ordered printed on a 3D printer or made of foam, like this: http://3d-cutting.rf
