Are there any out-of-the-box chat solutions/libraries?

Good day!

I was given the task of introducing a chat for users into our electronic document management system, with standard features, namely, write to the user, create a chat group, attach an attachment. Short stack: Java 8, Spring without Boot, Alfresco ECM, ExtJS.

I do not want to reinvent the wheel, so I would like to know the names of java libraries or chat engines.
If there are none, and you have to saw the back with handles, then maybe tell me some solution already for the front, in order to rely on it to go further.
How is it even worth implementing such a built-in messenger? (what is clear with the help of sockets)
I will be glad for your advice

Good afternoon.
As an "engine" you can use RabbitMQ, Spring Websockets, ActiveMQ, Kafka.
Well, it remains to take some beautiful front and write the necessary functionality

From my own experience, I can tell you that sticking in one direction without seeing anything around is not a good idea, on the other hand, learning several directions at once is also not an option (since you need to eat and therefore you need to work), so the easiest option is to look at the number of vacancies, salary level on hh.ru and similar sites, and already make a decision.
