Protection is legal. Always. You are on a technical forum. Not legal.
From a technical point of view, everything depends on who your potential villains are. And how much you want them to create restrictions.
A small logo in the corner and an author's note at the beginning/end is enough for me. Sometimes the villains overwrite it - but this is already being decided through the courts.
Depends on what is required.
Usually there are enough titles, where the authors who worked on the video are indicated.
If in the future you need to prove that you are the author, you can use steganography (essentially the same watermark, only invisible to the viewer)
. A watermark is needed if you want the viewer to clearly see who the author is, even if the video is spiraled and posted elsewhere.
