Previously, as I understand it, the Windows console was truncated. It was impossible to stretch it, without crutches it did not support the coloring of the letters and the background. Has something changed in Windows 10?

Ничего принципиально не изменилось.
Все прекрасно растягивается, меняется цвет фона и текста.
