Are there any articles with resources that explain how electronic circuits work?

I understand the operation of resistors, transistors, capacitors, diodes, etc., but their relationship in the diagram is not clear to me. I would like to see something like this: here is a circuit, it does this, this element is needed then this, this one after that. If this is not the case, then this will work. And there was such a problem, can you solve it yourself?
Usually only what the circuit does is said. But it is absolutely impossible to understand something, and even more so to correct or add.
It is possible in English, but Russian is preferable.
I read "Step by Step" Svoren R.A., I learned the basics, but dry theory, without practice.

The Art of Circuitry is a great book for beginners.
To understand the operation of circuits, it would be nice to simulate them and see what happens in the circuit.
I studied on Micro-Cap . Now, for some reason, the LTspice package has gained popularity .

start with simple logical circuits ... Alas, I can’t tell you the literature on circuitry, but I’m sure that such questions have been asked more than once.
