Are there any analogues of Vimeo video hosting?

Colleagues, I use Vimeo video hosting in my work, because:

  • high download speed, nothing slows down the users
  • the ability to embed videos only on a specific domain
  • the ability to restrict access rights to the video, as well as remove the ability to download. Possibility to password-protect videos, etc.
  • the ability to customize the player itself, for example, add your own logo, remove unnecessary action buttons, etc.
  • there are other features, for example, a call to action at the end of the video, a feedback form, etc.

Those. The perfect fit for me looks like this. Embedded video without branding, links, likes, sharing, only the play button and navigation:

After the events of 02/24/2022, anything can happen, maybe Vimeo will also be blocked. Or slow down. Well, or in six months I will not find a way to renew the subscription, because VISA and Mastercard will not return, and Union Pay will not be allowed here.

I searched Google for analogues, somehow everything is very bad. I don’t understand why Yandex or VK won’t make a separate paid video hosting with similar functionality above. For example, on VK, the video loads incomparably faster than Vimeo, in 10-20 seconds Full HD quality is already available, while on Vimeo it sometimes takes 10-20 minutes.

Of course, it is possible to use VK as a video hosting, but if I want to further embed videos from VK to a third-party site (video courses), then I need to force all users to register in VK and join a private group where videos will be available to them, but they will watch them in a structured form on another platform. I tested, it works. But it is not clear that with advertising before the video. Looks like she doesn't exist. But she could show up at any moment. And then somehow all this will look stupid. Yes, and the player cannot be configured, there will be VK branding and a link to go to this closed group, which will confuse users.

In general, the trouble with video hosting. In terms of functionality, I liked Wistia from similar ones, but the price is unbearable for me. Maybe someone has already encountered similar problems and will advise a good analogue of Vimeo?

Each has its own protection capabilities, but plus or minus they are similar: domain protection, watermark display, temporary link generation, drm encryption - both native and clearkey.

Here's exactly the same problem. I found where to store that video, on storage with the S3 protocol. The price tag is much cheaper than using the service. The only caveat is how to protect it .. There is a direct plug-in for the Amazon storage, ( https://s3mediavault.com ) which encrypts the link to the video and does not allow downloading. But under our repositories, something like this is not visible. .../ Although I tested their demo, you can still pull out the vidos through the developer console, just like with vimeo probably. And in general, just start recording from the screen and all protection is down the drain. It’s only interesting how, for example, Kinopoisk implemented this, it’s not possible to rob the video through recording from the screen.
