Are .Net developers needed?
Good afternoon! I am an applicant, but I have no experience in real development. I want to develop. I really like .net
In general, are .Net developers needed? What technologies (topics, skills?) are most in demand? What do they want from a .net developer?
In general, what exactly do I need to learn? What project to implement? In order to represent something from yourself, having come for an interview.
I'm currently learning about WCF (server configuration, protocols, interfaces, etc.).

Open vacancies and read what is required from the candidate. Everything is simple.
1 - just do something, it's better than nothing. if you do it for money, you are already growing. but in any case, do something all the time ))).. and better different ))
2 - see the statistics of vacancies by language / platform. .Net developers are needed for sure. Moreover, usually only java competes. but it seems, recently, on Habré, a review flew by that in the USA, the demand for .Net / C # has already begun to outweigh
.net developers are needed and MS is actively promoting .net)
I started freelancing, doing simple projects, reading books on C# and completing tasks on them.
There are many technologies, but now the most popular are web (MVC, etc.) and microservices.
I think it would be nice to look at ready-made projects on GitHub and try to do something similar. Often at interviews they are asked to create a system for viewing, adding, deleting and editing employees and company departments
