Are DigitalOcean SSDs reliable?

I have been keeping a web application on DigitalOcean for more than 2 years. It used to be in DC AMS1, recently I had to move to AMS2, because. DO cover AMS1. Today the application got up for the first time - the file system suddenly switched to Read-only mode.
The application exploits the file system quite harshly: it stores ~2E5 small files on the disk, each of which is updated several times a day. Plus MySQL, web.
After short dances (~20 minutes) on good notes , we managed to fix / raise everything. But the eye is now twitching with a nervous tic, waiting for new tricks.
Hence the question to DigitalOcean users: have you experienced such disk crashes, and what were they connected with?
Upd.backups are made, of course. The essence of the application is that it is constantly reading / updating data in small volumes - constantly reading / writing disk files and databases. The limited SSD resource for writing casts doubt on the reasonableness of placing such a disk-active application on DO. Although, as I understand from DO technical support, SSD wear and tear processing lies outside the virtual machine and should not concern me as a user.
