Are there still worthy browser games with great online, is it all moving to its own clients or platforms like Steam?

IMHO, browser games are long dead.
there was only casual for "killing time in a quick way."

Why would they die? Multiplayer without a client feel fine in their niche. You can always log in from any computer and harvest or pile on someone.
