Arduino Nano. Is it possible to write code on CodeVisionAVR?

I'm a beginner so let's say 'electronic engineer', 'radio amateur' All that.
After reading a little about microcontrollers: AVR.
I understand. You can buy a clean stone ( Atmega8 ) Put it on the board → without soldering.
And only then dance from this stone.

But got caught on the Arduino Nano specs. It uses ATmega328.
And here is the crux of the matter.
Can I use another IDE for the AVR instead of the ArduinoIDE if I have an Arduino Nano or other board → Arduino Uno etc???
