Applications for mobile devices on javascript, is it worth it?

I'm basically a web developer of all sorts of crap, I want to have mobile client applications for this crap, which in fact will help users use the site more conveniently than the mobile version. Those. on the application, only the frontend is needed, the entire backend, handlers and actions, the database is on the server. Will things like phoneGAP work for this task? Or is it still a utopia and it is better not to even start? Those. as an application for mobile, it is planned to have as little functionality as possible, the maximum of everything will be placed on the backend. What else can you advise besides phoneGap?
I just don't really want to study a lot of things, buy a poppy, etc.

Absolutely. Even if it's not Fongup. For example, on Windows, javascript is a search language.
There is only one limitation. Not everything can be done in Javascript. Something needs to be done in the native language in order to gain access to resources. For example, if you are making an application for an iPhone to communicate with its charging connector, then you only need to use your native language.
But for me, in 80% of cases, JS is the ideal solution.

phonegap + angularjs + ionic framework. simple application-clients can be easily written. Separate screens can be implemented natively, if there is something really bold there.

Non-fast and simple applications are well written in html5. And the main plus is the ability to use the same application for several platforms - android, iOS, win, and the mobile version in the browser. But it's better to buy a poppy anyway :)
