There are rumors that you need to be able to do something in order to do something.
And why actually not? There are people who retrained from economists to programmers and found work.
I worked as a php programmer, and when I moved to another language and technology stack, I also faced a number of difficulties. They did not want to take it, but employers offered PHP.
