Please share your experience with GOCR or Tesseract using php.
The fact is that I need to write a php script that recognizes the numbers from the picture. The numbers of the same font, clear and without distortion (this is a phone number).
Tell me how to use the GOCR or Tesseract library on a local computer, namely in conjunction with denwer.
Or advise other solutions for recognizing digits from a picture in PHP.
PS At first I wrote a script that splits the image into parts (into numbers) and counts the number of black (shaded) pixels for each digit ... but it all ended in failure, the number of filled pixels in some numbers was the same, even after manipulations with contrast and brightness the pictures of the numbers coincided, but already different)) so this idea is unsuccessful.

Used to recognize phone numbers from pictures. For me, GOCR was more suitable, but neither one nor the other is not ideal. We still need to work with the picture before feeding the ocr.
Tried options 6 ocr, settled on it.
