Android tablet or win8 tablet?

In the summer I want to buy a tablet. Soul lies with Asus Transformer Prime.
Questions:
1) Does it make sense to wait for x86 tablets on Windows or take an asus?
2) Is there any information on autonomy, price, performance?
3) i.e. As far as I understand, all applications need to be ported to arm?
It's just that I work with some niche products that are unlikely to be ported, ie. I need exactly x86
Thank you in advance.

PS Apple do not offer

Take an android because. there initially everything is sharpened on the fingers, the market is huge, there is a lot of software, it works for a long time, conveniently, ergonomically, it will simply be unrealistic to work on a tablet with old win fingers, and the metro at 8 is not convenient for me (on a 10-inch tablet with win8 it will be 10 times smaller less useful information than on a 7-inch android tablet, shorter torment) Of course, you can connect a mouse and keyboard, but here it’s still better to have a netbook or laptop for such things.

why x86? win8 will work on arm, but now it has an almost empty app store
2) Is there any information on autonomy, price, performance?
I saw only this habrahabr.ru/post/143123/

There is some German company, they have a tablet for win7, plows for 10 hours. I don't remember now, but twit.tv interviewed them at MWC.
Wait, cho) We don’t know anything specific right now and tablets on Ivy Bridge + Win8 bundle have not been tested yet. So the way out is either you wait, or you take an android.
I've decided to take an android for myself, but as a toy before the release of win8.

The day before yesterday I met a Microsoft employee on the train playing on his tablet. He had a bunch of Asus Slate + Win8 CP. In the meantime, he complained about a couple of drivers (the tablet is actually for Win7), but in general he said that he was satisfied.

Didn't melkosoft declare that 8 would support ARM? I think that it will eventually be possible to screw it onto any tablet. Therefore, I would take the same transformer))

Depends on your niche applications, if they are demanding on resources, then it makes no sense to run them on a weak atom and on a tablet in general. Plus, the convenience of working through the touch screen with these applications can be extremely inconvenient (buttons and icons will be tiny, you can hit it with your finger).
And yes, Win8 on ARM won't mess with x86 apps. Maybe it's easier for you to take a netbook? On AMD e-350 or e-450, you can even play the latest toys, though at the minimum settings.
