Android tablet, 7 or 8 inches?
Dear community, please tell me about tablets.
Before that, I didn’t have tablets and I don’t particularly follow the market, so it’s not in the subject that now there is something worthwhile on the market. This is most likely a Chinese dropade, but not a “full non-name on a resistive screen”, but a normal assembly and with normal characteristics.
What you want from a tablet:
- productive - video and games without brakes
- 7 or 8 inches in size, you don’t really need more, because you still need to be able to carry it with you, the resolution is more than 800x480, at least 800x600, of course capacitive and with a distinct multi-touch
- normal build quality, so that it does not creak and play in the hands
- Android version "the newer the better" (from 2.2 and higher)
- operating time is at least 5 hours
- it is desirable (but not critical) that GPS and 3G are
- a slot for an SD card is desirable
- a reasonable price tag
I recently saw a review of Ainol Novo 8 on Habré .
In general, I liked it, just 8 inches, a good screen, a good build, a full-fledged USB, a microSD slot, a stand (it's funny, but it's a fact - it's convenient), a good price tag - ~ $ 180.
What confused: that the processor is 0.8, not 1 GHz, although the owner claims that there are no problems with performance; weak battery; no 3G or GPS. A new tablet from Barnes & Noble
can be considered an option (it beats the Kindle Fire in terms of characteristics, so I don’t consider it as a competitor), but there is “its own” android, which still needs to be demolished, and the price tag is higher.
So, probably, the question should rather be put like this - does Ainol Novo 8 have normal competitors?

Bought for 6t.r. with delivery of renesas with GPS - habrahabr.ru/blogs/iTablet/127723/ should already be with 3G (was expected in the summer)
Fast 2 cores + graphics accelerator, multi-touch screen (2 touches) of the shortcomings - I hate touch buttons (they work when not needed ) and a glitch with the mini-USB wire that comes with the kit (a little move - the contact is lost, it’s real to fix, just slip something under the contacts in the adapter connector to raise them) and the fact that it is not compatible with those adapters that they sell in stores (this was a surprise for me).
ps The firmware is being updated very actively. It seems there is already beta 3.0
Archos g9, only you need to apparently wait for the turbo. With the first batch with a screen, when you press the case, in some places, artifacts appear, about the same as if you poke your finger into the TFT screen.
