Android Studio hangs?

I installed android studio and decided to build just hello world, grandle collected it for 5 minutes, it was impossible to enter the browser because it froze terribly. What could be the problem?

1. Use not an emulator, but an android device via USB for debugging.
2. In the project settings (File -> Settings) set gradle to offline
3. Keep open as few project files as possible.

I have a problem with the operating system.
The studio is eating, the emulator is eating, add. buns are fattening.
There comes a moment when the memory ends and swap is written - the disk is dull, everything hangs.
Check memory for freezes.
