Android Market: Not available for your carrier?

When I try to install some applications (for example, Skype or Angry Birds) from the market (market.android.com), it says that my operator (Life Ukraine) is unavailable and does not allow installation. These applications cannot be found in the mobile market.
The phone is white, Nexus One. What does the mobile operator have to do with it, remains a mystery to me personally.

The problem is rather not in the operator but in the country. If the phone is rooted, then you can use the MarketEnabler (available in the android market).

It seems like it's not about the operator, but about the location. Life is Ukrainian, so Skype is not friendly with Ukraine.

It entirely depends on the developer who published the program. He can choose "all countries", or he can specify by the piece.

Well, for starters, the "white" Nexus One is only sold in a limited number of countries: www.google.com/phone/detail/nexus-one
Secondly, there are indeed life problems. Not all applications are seen. For some reason, both birds and Skype are available on Kyivstar. Verified personally.
Therefore, try either 4pda.ru or the web version of the market (market.android.com)
