Android in a virtual machine?

There is a nettop with a core i3-4010u processor and 2GB of RAM. I want to make a media player + server out of it on Linux according to this scheme - on the nettop itself there will be ubuntu, and in it a virtualbox emulating android x86, the screen of which will be displayed on TV. Can you please tell me the fastest way to organize such a system? In the direction of Linux, I'm going to put xubuntu, and put the latest android.
What is better x86 or x64 android and linux? Would it be better to install an older android like 5 instead of 8?

if you need the newest android, then you need to install genymotion,
but unfortunately, it eats up a lot of RAM, but there are the latest versions and even beta, or as they are called EAP.
and about the music player, I'll tell you this, put MPD and plus any client of your choice , it also supports work via the network.
but differs from the rest in that it eats few resources.
If you tweak the settings well, then you can achieve that the lion's share of RAM is taken by genymotion, and 10 or 15 percent are allocated to MPD.
I think that you can meet 2 GB if you wish, but it's difficult. It is necessary to carry out optimization right at every step, at every setting.
there is also anbox
this is something like containers for running Android applications link
but it is a little difficult to install and since it requires direct hands and the ability to install Linux kernel modules, if you are familiar with this, then Anbox should not cause you any difficulties.
For a long time I wanted to use Instagram from a computer, but there was no application, and it takes a long time to run the emulator, tediously and eats up a lot of RAM. Therefore, I installed Anbox, it is faster than the emulator, but it has its own peculiarities, on its page on the github (I gave the link above) you can read everything there and decide if it suits you or not.

Android is better not on VB - it eats.
I installed 4.* and 6.* on QEMU from under Gentoo, gave the android 512MB from 2GB of RAM. Both versions were sufficient.
