Android: how to open the call list?

My main scenario for using the phone is: open the list of recent calls, select a contact, call back or write an SMS. I don't need the standard phone keyboard that opens when I launch the Phone app in 99% of cases. I want the list of recent calls to open when the phone starts up. Even if it is a shortcut that could be pulled to the desktop or launcher panel.
Can it be done? How do you do it?

I found a solution - the Call Log application. Performs one superfunction - shows the standard list of calls and is cut down. Just lovely!

I have it set up like this:
Calls tab -> Menu -> Settings -> Default tab -> {Last used, Last viewed, Buttons, Call, Contacts, Favorites}
CM 7, android 2.3.4

I don’t know how it will behave on skis, but in general, in terms of usability, the Samsung shell is at its best, I just switched from android to bada because of it =) You can try to install it alloptimus.ru/archives/4077. Since this is a port, it can work worse than the usual shells that are installed because of the speed, but if it was ported well, then I think you should like it

The Desire S has a shortcut in the Call Log app list.

You can put Dialer One or Go Contacts Ex, more convenient than the standard Android "Phone".
If you like it, then what is. Then the possibility of making an icon for launching received / dialed calls will differ depending on the launcher. For ADW, this is: Create Shortcut - Application Actions - Contacts - Calls.
