Android getting data from Django site DB?

The point is this. There is a site "example.ru" which is synchronized with a database that stores data, for example, about users, it's clear that you can't just parse them. You need to do the same synchronization with the database in the Android application. I searched the forums, found a bunch of useless information, in which json requests to the server were the basis. Tell me where to dig, maybe there is some literature? Is it possible to send a request from the application to the site (not to the server, but to the site) and receive a json file? I will be glad for any help.

@dinegnet

They do not directly synchronize with the DJango database.
done through the site's API.
