Android dev: what to do when disconnected from internet, gps?

I am writing my first application that uses gps and the Internet in its work. How to respond if the Internet is lost or the user disconnected, and also gps disappeared or was disabled while the application was running? Close the application? How to handle an event?

Have you seen at least one application that silently closes?
Cache data and work offline
Tell the user that you cannot work without the Internet and gps.
You will still have to do the second when you request a permishin for a location.
