Android 4 kernel to 5 kernel, is it real?
The essence of the question is whether it is possible (without 5.0 kernel sources for a certain device (there are 4.x.x source codes)) to port to it (or compile) android 5.0?
Actually, the phone parameters themselves:
-Processor: MTK6589
-Video
:PowerVR SGX544
-Model:Lenovo P780
At the moment, the device has android 4.4.4, well, my hands itch very much)
a lot of time and yes, I need it and please don’t ask why)

You can't do anything without the kernel sources, and it's not an abstract vanilla kernel, but a kernel with patches from your device manufacturer... in some cases it can lead and you can use the sources of compatible devices (same chip) but even in this case you configuration files will also be needed (I remember there were even lawsuits for the publication of these configs) ...
The only way is to take the finished one, dig towards www.cyanogenmod.org
