And who is struggling with the noise from the server room?
Someone puts soundproof cabinets, and who puts what materials on the walls, floor, ceiling?

In the server room, you need to deal with heat dissipation, not noise. :-)
Why soundproof it? That's why it is a server room, not a computer table in the bedroom.
Several thousand kilometers to the data center reduce noise annoyance to zero.
As far as I understand, we are talking about noise _from the server room_, which greatly disturbs people in neighboring rooms.
If very briefly.
It is necessary to deal with the possible path of noise propagation, it will be
- door
- walls
- floor
- ceiling
- windows
1. Door. It is necessary to soundproof the door itself and install seals so that the sound does not pass through the cracks and the box.
2. Walls. In principle, you can get by with panels similar to ceiling panels (Armstrong suspended ceiling) - they absorb noise well.
3. Gender. Shock absorbers (rubber pads) on the legs of all equipment - cabinets and racks, floor air conditioners, etc.
4. Ceiling. Hanging will be very good at isolating sound. Care must be taken to ensure that the walls and ceilings _behind the false ceiling_ are also insulated.
5. Windows. It is solved only by curtains, but they will quickly turn into a dust collector. Go at least with woven blinds. Better if there are no windows.
As a result, you can get good silence outside the server room.
A little offtopic, but still.
To avoid noise from a working computer (not a server), I applied a radical method.
There's a hole in the wall and the computer is buzzing in the kitchen while I'm sitting in a quiet room.
The standard length of the wires was enough. Silence 100%.
Noise from the server room? well, I close the door to the server room and that's it)
we installed such silent cabinets with an active noise suppression system . Rolled on one of the sites. ha ha ... then all the admins were kicked out of the office in the head office and moved to a server room with such a closet.
For these purposes, we often buy ordinary vibration isolation + car noise
At one time, felt was stuck on the cover of the case - the system unit almost did not make noise. try something like this :)
Porous materials (paralon for example) are the basis of any sound insulation.
We have put glass panels right in the middle of the room. Door behind glass - server room :)
did anyone come across any comparison plates for noise levels from different servers (IBM, HP, Dell)?
