An online store in Ukraine should be in what language?

We are going to open a branch in Ukraine, in the form of an online store with our own local office. And after a long search on google.com.ua, I finally got confused in which language it is better to make a store. My inner mind says that in another country with its own language it is necessary to do everything in this language, but as the search engines wrote above, they say quite the opposite.

Please tell me what is better in terms of public opinion and search engines in general?
Are the shops in your country successful entirely in Ukrainian?
Is there a large percentage of searchers in Ukrainian?

Probably the best combination is Ukrainian-Russian with a choice. Only a big request to imprison a person who is fluent in the language (or dictionary) for this business - more and more often I get to Ukrainian sites in which there are just a bunch of errors in words (“it’s a shame for the state”).

Much depends on which part of the country your company plans to expand its activities to. No matter how politicized it may sound, the geographical factor plays an important role.
For the West, Ukrainian must be present in any case. For Central Ukraine - both languages. Russian is enough for Eastern. At the same time, good manners and tolerance (not the market and not the frequency of requests in Ukrainian) suggest (and they do it right, because you never know who and what importance for the development of the company will visit the site) that both languages ​​are needed, represented by in equal proportion and, what is important, in equal quality. Make sure that the Ukrainian on the site is not surzhik or dialect.

I say pure IMHO: those who are looking are worried about the price, payment and delivery options, as well as the quality of the information provided and the service. Language plays almost no role.
You can, of course, make it bilingual, but mostly everything is in Russian, for example - rozetka.com.ua/ (one of the rather large ones).
In general, you can evaluate on the price.ua and m1.ua portals, most of them are looking for goods there. By the way, to search first by the Russian name of the product, and then by the Ukrainian one is complete nonsense.
So IMHO do not bother and do it in Russian. There will be resources and desire - add the Ukrainian version, but this is so if you really want to be original;)

Ask in Ukrainian to cover the whole spectrum.

In what language - it does not matter, the main thing is that it is convenient and the quality of service is at its best. Recently I have been buying up in the outlet and photos. Simply because, even though it is a little more expensive, the information is always up to date. In most other stores, especially if the product is rare, you always need to make a control call, according to the results of which, most often, it turns out that the product is either out of stock or the price is completely different. I don't buy from them out of principle.

If possible, time, etc., try to do it in Ukrainian for western Ukraine and in Russian for eastern/central. In this case, I think everyone will be satisfied :) Determine the position by IP.

You can try to create two interfaces that do not affect the content. Those. the buyer himself chooses in which language to place an order, but at the same time, for example, the basket and its contents remain the same, only the interface phrases and names change.
It can be implemented in a simpler way - a person chooses the interface language during registration.

The error lies in the formulation of the question. If you want visitors to feel comfortable on the store's website, then do localization.
But this does not apply in any way to “Is a large percentage of seekers in Ukrainian?”!!! After all, users are not downs and will not search for Sony products by typing the query “I want a 3D TV with eyepieces”. For the product nomenclature, the language of trademarks (English, Russian, etc.) is quite sufficient.
